A blocked toilet
November 23, 2008
Blocked toilets are often due to built but the number one reason for most might be surprising- kids. Flushed stray toys, stuck and blocking the pipes.
There are two types of blocked toilets: partial, which simply makes the toilet run slow and that’s livable. But when it’s the second kind- the full block, when you flush, it’ll look like an overflow: the waste won’t flush and the water level rises above normal. But don’t worry; most bowls can hold an extra flush. The problem is people tend to panic as the water level rises and instinctually flush again, which only makes it worse. To avoid overflow, DONT flush again. But if you do, immediately lift the ball-float in the tank to temporarily stop the flow until you can turn the water completely off.
