Protecting your pipes

With the temperatures dropping, evenings get darker  don’t let the drop in degrees catch you cold.zero temperatures can result in frost damage to exposed water pipes and possibly lead to flooding,.However, by following our simple tips, you can protect your home against unnecessary damage

 

Make sure you know where your stopcock is and how to turn it off in an emergency

Check existing insulation and replace areas displaying wear and tear

If you go away for an extended period of time, leave your central heating on low

Tanks should also be insulated on all sides but not underneath – this will allow warm air to circulate

Keep are number to hand (a reputable plumber )
